Policies

Attendance

Please notify us if you anticipate being late in dropping off your child in the morning. If you plan to keep your child home due to illness or any other reason, we must be notified no later than your regular drop-off time. The full weekly tuition will still be charged if the child is absent.

Late Pickup Fee

There is a fee equivalent to the hourly rate for your child’s age group if you pick up your child after your allotted time (8 hours). This is to ensure that children are picked up on time. This fee will be due at the time of your next scheduled tuition payment.

After-Hours Fee

Pickups after closing (5:30pm) will be charged $1 for every minute. This fee will be due at the time of your next scheduled tuition payment.

Early Drop-off Fee

Drop-offs before 8:00am will be subject to a fee of $10 for every 15 minutes. This fee will be due at the time of your next scheduled tuition payment.

Appointments & Early Pickups

Please notify us when you drop off your child in the morning if you will be picking them up early that day, or if your child has an appointment and will be leaving and returning again later in the day.

Authorization to Pick Up

No child will be released to a person not previously authorized in writing by a parent or guardian. Verbal authorization will only be considered in emergency situations and on a case-by-case basis.

Termination

Either the parent or provider has the right to terminate service for any reason, provided that a 4-week written notice is given.

Methods of Payment

Weekly tuition is due each Monday (monthly tuition is due the first day of the month). We accept cash or electronic transfer. If you need assistance with setting up electronic payments, please contact me. Tuition payments that are more than 48 hours late will be subject to a late fee of $10/day.

Payment During Temporary Closures

In the event of temporary closures, the full weekly tuition will still be charged. Payment plans will be available during these times by request.

Payment During Family Vacations

Each family will receive one week of vacation tuition-free per year. If you plan on keeping your child out of care for longer than one week, tuition must be paid upfront for the remaining vacation period in order to hold your child’s slot. (Your tuition-free family vacation can only be used when the school is open.)

Immunizations

Complete immunization records must be on file prior to your child’s first day of enrollment.

Illness

If your child has any of the following illnesses or conditions, you must keep your child home:

  • A temperature above 100°F

  • Vomiting (2 or more times in 24 hours)

  • Diarrhea (3 or more watery stools in 24 hours)

  • A rash or nits

  • Eye infection

  • Sore throat

  • Any communicable disease

  • If it’s clear your child is just not feeling well

Depending on the illness, you may be required to obtain a doctor’s note before your child returns to care.

Please notify the school immediately if your child has a communicable disease.

Medications

Any medication must be in the original bottle or container, and prescription medications must include the original prescription label and instructions. Emma’s Day Care will not administer any medications, topical creams, or sunscreen without written consent from a child’s parent. Parents must hand all medications directly to staff.

Change of Clothing

Parents are responsible for maintaining a spare set of clothing in their child’s cubby. Babies grow fast, so please check frequently to make sure the spare set matches your child’s current size.

Show and Tell (Share) Day

Each week, we have a designated day where children may bring a favorite toy to share. Please label all items with your child’s name. Superhero toys and toy weapons are not allowed.

Labeling

Please label all students’ belongings with the child’s full name.
